Why do people keep asking about 2025 predictions?

I don’t get why so many posts on this forum are about “what will happen in 2025” or “where’s the S&P heading next year?”

Investing should be about the long term. Focus on your strategy and goals instead of guessing what the market might do. Most of investing is about managing your emotions, so why make it harder with predictions that nobody can really know?

It’s all for clicks and attention.

Yep, totally agree. It just distracts people.

I feel the same way, but honestly, most people don’t think like this.

So many are trying to get rich fast. I saw someone here ask about the best time of day to buy Nvidia stock. It’s frustrating how little people know about finances.

Why does it bother you so much?

It just clogs up my feed and feels like a waste of energy. Every year people do this, but nobody knows where the market will be in the future.

@Amari
I get it. Makes sense.

I think it’s just for fun. Kind of like sports debates. It doesn’t matter, but it’s entertaining.

Some people use it to figure out rebalancing their investments.

Agreed :+1:

Exactly! If anyone could predict the stock market, they’d already be rich.

Totally. These so-called expert forecasts are never accurate. It’s nice to hear their opinions, but even they have no idea what’s coming.

Some folks just enjoy diving deep into market news. It’s like how sports fans love stats and predictions. Let people have their fun.

It’s interesting and gives you a sense of market sentiment.

True, it can be fun. But I don’t trust polls on socials—they’re often too small to matter. Plus, big firms usually just push their own agendas.

Why not put 10% into BITI or SQQQ to hedge? The market’s crazy right now.

I’ve learned not to short. Just my personal approach—markets can stay irrational longer than I can stay solvent :joy:. But yeah, things are wild out there.

@Amari
Wait, why is this getting downvoted? It’s solid advice!

I’m running -4x leverage in my Roth. Living on the edge.
