Totally agree. Same thing happens with compulsory acquisitions, the lawyers always come out ahead.

The notice said: the settlement amount is $57.5M, but after legal costs of $34.3M, only 40% is left for the group. Lawyers definitely made bank.

Happens with insurance claims too. I saw a case where someone claimed $500K damages, and after months, it got reduced to $60K. Out of that, lawyers took $40K. It’s crazy.

Still waiting for the Medibank one… but knowing my luck, nothing will come of it.

Check the email you used to sign up for the class action. There’s a portal link in it.

Haven’t checked yet, but if $2.78 is the average, I’m not exactly thrilled lol.

Looks like I’m getting $180. Not bad!

My wife forgot to sign up. Doesn’t seem like she missed much, but she got good use out of her card anyway. I got $1,800 from the Westpac class action though!

Got an email asking me to log into some portal. Is this legit?

The email says:

‘You are receiving this email because you registered to participate in the ANZ Credit Cards Class Action settlement. To view your estimated payment, click this link to return to the registration portal.’

Anyone else get this?

Yeah, I got it too but had trouble with my login. I contacted them, and they said to try again. Seems legit based on what others here are saying.
