Mine’s 2.756%, just barely under the jumbo loan limit. Took out as much as I could at the time.

I’ll be around 75 when it’s paid off… no regrets!

Was going to say my best choice was dropping my financial advisor who kept messing up my account… but now that you mention it, we closed on our house during the COVID lockdown. Got it under asking with a 2.75% rate, and the value shot up $100k right after.

Wish I had that! My country doesn’t even offer fixed-rate mortgages.

I have both a 3.5% and a 5.5% mortgage.

Got a 2.3% on a 15-year. Best decision ever.

Locked in at 2.875% for 30 years, though I was mad I didn’t get the lowest rate back then…

Best advice: just start investing!

For me, it’s been about buying and holding… no day trading here!

Bought into low-cost S&P 500 funds 35 years ago.

By then, you’ll probably know enough to go beyond target funds. Those are for people who don’t want to learn the basics of investing.

@Om
Yep, I’ve added more conservative stuff, and a small slice of dividend-producing stocks and ETFs now that I’m in my 50s and retired. No target date funds for me; those feel a bit too cautious.

Stopped trying to swing trade. Moved everything into VTI and just let it sit… my sleep is way better now.

Started investing.
