Hi everyone,
My wife just started a new job, and we are trying to choose an index fund for her 401(k). They offer VFAIX, but I’m seeing two different expense ratios for this fund some sources list it as 0.10%, while others show it as 0.04%. Does anyone know which one is correct and why there might be discrepancies between different sites?

Make sure you’re looking at the correct symbol. VFAIX has an expense ratio of 0.10%, while VFIAX has an expense ratio of 0.04%.

To be honest, even the best of us experience it occasionally.

I have made this mistake myself before. As well as tripping when comparing FXAIX with VFIAX.

VFIAX has an expense ratio of 0.04% according to Vanguard .
Does your plan specifically include VFIAX, or does it offer a similar fund? Additionally, there may be fees at the plan level to consider.

That is not the same mutual fund that OP is asking about. Probably related to OP’s confusion.

I am curious about YieldMax ETFs as well! According to the YieldMax website, CONY has a yield of 0.99%, but on Fidelity, it’s listed as 1.01%.
