@Tavi
I agree. As a young investor, I’m okay waiting 10-20 years for quantum computing to go mainstream, but I’ll wait for prices to drop before jumping back in. Thanks for explaining!
The recent spike might be tied to a few major scientific breakthroughs in the field.
Honestly, the whole market has been popping lately. Could just be that.
I bought D-Wave for under a dollar six months ago but sold it at break-even because I thought it was going nowhere. Now it’s over $5. Same with SMCI—sold at a loss, and now it’s doubled. At least my money is doing fine in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100.
@Oli
I did the same with RGTI. Sold right before it doubled. Kicking myself! On the bright side, I’m holding onto QBTS, which I picked up for $1. Planning to stick with it for the long term.
Quantum computing could revolutionize AI in the future, but it’s still at least 10-20 years away. Right now, these companies are running on hype, not profits.

Thankfully, I’m young, so waiting 20 years doesn’t bother me.
Quantum stocks are going nuts right now. LOL.
What are the biggest quantum computing stocks? I’m curious if this is something I should keep an eye on.

Some big names I’ve seen are:
- IONQ
- RGTI
- QBTS
But definitely do your own research—it’s always best to dig into the companies yourself.
Quantum computing could solve AI’s power and processing challenges. It’s still in its early stages, but it has the potential to be a game-changer in the future.
Some of this recent price action is just meme hype, especially for stocks like IONQ. A few billionaires jumped in, and the rest followed.

Yeah, I’ve noticed bots hyping it up too.
Despite the skepticism, quantum computing is on the verge of becoming commercially viable. Companies like IonQ are set to start selling quantum computers soon and already partner with AWS and Nvidia. There’s still hype involved, but this could be the start of something big. It’s worth watching.
There’s no practical use for quantum computing right now. When it becomes relevant, then it’ll blow up.

No practical use? What about breaking every encryption method we currently use? Imagine being able to decrypt years’ worth of stored data instantly. We’re not there yet, but the potential is massive.
Is there a list or index of quantum computing stocks? This is super interesting.
The error rates in quantum computing are still insanely high and not improving much.
