Alternatives to Seeking Alpha?

The majority of Seeking Alpha’s content is currently behind a large and costly $300/year barrier. This trend has seen the company add more and more content over time. Could someone please let me know if they are aware of any stock analysis apps or websites that resemble what SA once was?

If you are lucky, Seeking Alpha articles might just summarize the latest quarterly reports and reuse graphics from the company’s presentations.

However, many of the analysts there seem to lack depth beyond basic Excel skills. When I find a stock that’s done well, I check out other stocks the same authors have covered and often suspect their success might just be random.

Indeed. Similar comparisons and reviews are what I also do, I don’t take the writers at face value. You do receive some useful information, which in many situations you can study again.

A Ouija board.

With VTI/VXUS, you have got everything you need. The latest top-performing stock will likely already be included in one of those funds.

I use ValueLine and Morningstar. In my opinion, Seeking Alpha is only marginally better than Motley Fool.

Both charge high fees. :smiling_face_with_tear:

You get what you pay for, I suppose. The services I use offer genuine analysis rather than being a glorified social network filled with misguided opinions. Every Seeking Alpha article I have read seems to be just a rehashed 10-Q.

Do you mean this way? :pinching_hand::rofl:

After some research, I think Yahoo Finance will meet my needs for this. Thanks for the help, everyone. :+1:
