What actually stops insider trading in the White House… or does it?

Can someone explain what’s in place to prevent the President from sharing market-moving info with friends who can profit off it? Feels like an unlimited money cheat if there’s no real oversight.

Nothing. Just look at that Trump meme coin. Politicians using their positions for personal gain is nothing new, but it’s like no one even pretends to care anymore.

It’s fine because the people who worship him say it is.

@Lex
They trust him with their wallets.

Yep, not just meme coins… also bibles (which some states force into schools), sneakers, guitars, watches, and non-stop trips to his own resorts on the taxpayer dime. Government corruption isn’t new, but now it’s just out in the open with no shame.

This is the ultimate grift. Want tariffs lifted? Just buy some Trump coins. Makes past politicians look like amateurs.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Trump’s DJT stock has tanked, and he’s lost billions. The meme coin might’ve made him a few million, but that’s pocket change compared to his stock losses.

If he was trying to get rich, he’d be pushing tech stocks, not slapping tariffs on them.

@Scout
And you know all this… how? Got any proof?

Also, calling people dumb isn’t a great argument.

Dude, he literally gave away his DJT stock to Trump Jr. and bought more at a lower price. Even if he made $10 million off meme coins, his stock movements make that look like pennies.

You’re worried about a meme coin when billions are in play.

Checks and balances? Those don’t exist anymore.

Sounds sarcastic, but I mean it 100%. They’re gone.

Kash Patel looked like he was on something during his hearing.

@Dell
No drug test, no background check, no lie detector. Nothing.

It’s a clown show at this point. They know they can do whatever they want.

@Dell
No, YOU looked high at your confirmation hearing!

Kidding… but honestly, the guy looks like he won’t make it to office.

We were taught in school that the system keeps everything fair. Turns out that was just a bedtime story.

Rules only work if people enforce them.

That ship sailed a long time ago.

There’s nothing stopping it. Any ‘rules’ are just words on paper that no one enforces.

The same rules that stop Congress from doing it. Oh wait…

At least Congress has to report their trades.

Trump and Musk? No oversight at all.
