Is VOO really the best way to invest and just chill?

If you’re under 50, VOO and chill is great. Over 50, you might want to start shifting some into bonds or dividend stocks to lower risk as you approach retirement.

What’s the recommended split at 50? Like, how much in stocks versus bonds?

It depends on when you plan to retire and your comfort with risk. A good financial advisor can help figure this out.

It really can be that easy if you stick to it.

Index funds beat almost all professionals and amateurs over the long term. But people have a hard time believing that doing less actually works better.

Imagine putting everything in VOO, getting stuck on a remote island for 20 years, and coming back to find you’re rich. That’s the dream.

Getting rich slowly is easy—if you’re patient. Getting rich quickly is pure luck.
