How do you invest your Roth IRA?

I (37f) rolled over an old 401(k) into my current Roth account, so I currently have roughly 40k in a Roth IRA.

I was told to put the money in a Roth, but I had no idea you could use the funds from your account. I am not sure what to do with the money. I have always believed that you should just let compound interest build up.

Has someone completed this task here? How would I go about investing it, and what can I put it in?

Or the S&P 500 or Total Market equivalent from your bank.

It depends, you should check the bank’s fees first.

For your Roth IRA, who are you using? Vanguard?

Vanguard, Fidelity, and Schwab are all solid options. Which one do you currently use?
