Looks like the SWTOR character creator got a graphics update! It’s cool seeing this game still getting some updates after all these years. Anyone else checking it out?
I used to play SWTOR a lot back in the day. Glad it’s still getting updates, but honestly, isn’t most of the content just repeating the same events over and over?

Yeah, but with the kind of budget SWTOR has now, this is probably the most we can expect.

Sounds like you’re describing Space Marine 2, and people seem to like that one.
@Chan
Space Marine 2 is brand new with a clear roadmap for updates. SWTOR is an older MMO, and those rely heavily on keeping the content fresh to survive. Big difference.
Here are some screenshots of the updated graphics:
@Hero
These look pretty good, but I’ve seen people on this forum complain about their characters’ appearances changing. That fem Mandalorian hairstyle looks kind of odd, especially with the shaved part.
@Marlow
Yeah, I noticed that too, but I tried to make it work regardless.

At first, I thought she was wearing some kind of weird hood.

I actually like the hairstyle, but it really needs skin tones or details that match better. Some of the presets don’t blend well.
I loved this game on the first playthrough, but replaying it and doing endgame stuff got really boring. Haven’t touched it since the first year.

If you give it another shot, you’ll get to see the remastered starting zones.
@Hero
The problem is that outside of class quests, every playthrough feels the same. Same planets, same order. It gets repetitive. Games like FFXIV and WoW mix it up more.

Isn’t FFXIV kind of the same? Everyone does the main story there too, aside from a few class-specific quests.
@Rory
Good point. Limsa and the other starting cities in FFXIV feel bigger and more alive compared to SWTOR’s starting planets. ESO might’ve been a better example for variety since it’s more open-ended.

I liked it until I accidentally got locked into one of the expansion stories. Couldn’t do anything else until I finished it.
@Harley
Sounds like you started Knights of the Fallen Empire. It’s really linear.
Wish they’d pay more attention to players in Oceania. We always seem to get ignored.
I’d be back in this game if they let you replay story missions.

Why not just make a new character?
