Anyone else worried about the Shiller P/E on the S&P 500 going up since 2009… is it just me?

Ever looked into value index funds?

As long as the Fed is around, I’m not worried. If they ever go away, then I’ll start panicking.

With certain leaders, the Fed’s less independent. They’ll push the market as much as they can.

I’m also worried. At my age, a big drop could really hurt me and my family. Bonds would be my preference if yields were better.

If the market keeps getting more expensive, maybe these valuations are fair after all… kind of a cynical take, but it’s been true lately.

Here’s some perspective: https://www.gurufocus.com/stock-market-valuations.php

I think we’re in a new era of investing. P/E ratios don’t seem to matter much anymore.

I don’t think that’s right. High P/E companies are skewing the averages. Look at the distribution.

I don’t worry too much. Inflation’s steady, and forward earnings have been pretty stable.

Nope, not worried.

Then why comment if you have nothing to add?

Lol.
