Am I overthinking this… or is just buying VOO fine?

I just set my high school senior up with VOO, QQQM, and BTC (65/30/5).

Just a heads-up, 85% of QQQM is already in VOO, so you’re mostly overlapping.

Yeah, I know. I just like having more tech exposure with QQQM. Might switch to all VOO later.

Honestly, you’re in a good spot. If you want a little more balance, swap VOO for VTI and add some VXUS.

For international, anywhere between 20-40% is reasonable. If you go heavier on international, you could just go with VT instead.

At the end of the day, don’t stress too much about finding the ‘perfect’ balance. Just keep going.

Time to actually chill.

If PLTR is your go-to individual stock pick, just stick with VOO. You’ll probably save yourself a lot of headaches.

Diversify more than VOO? Dude, it’s already 500 stocks.

Yeah, but have you looked at how much weight is in the top 5? The other 490 barely matter.

It’s the market standard for a reason.
